Small
Eyes |
2. Apply a medium shadow to the crease concentrating on the outer half
of the eye. 3. Apply eyeliner on outer half of the eye closest to the lashes. 4. Apply a highlighter colour under the arch of the brow. You can also
use a white liner in the inner lower or upper rims, this can help to
open up your eyes. 5. Keep your eyebrows groomed and shaped. A light thinner eyebrow for
small eyes will help to open the eyes up. |
|
|
|
|
Wide-Set
Eyes |
2. Place a medium or dark shadow near the eyes' inner corners
continuing out toward the temples. 3. Extend the liner all the way to the inner corner of the eye closest
to the lashes. 4. Then applying mascara concentrate on the center lashes. |
|
|
|
|
Deep-Set
Eyes |
2. Place a medium contour colour just above the crease and blend
upward. 3. Dot highlighter on inner corners of eyes. 4. When applying eyeliner stay as close to the lash line as possible.
Less is best with deep-set eyes. 5. Apply mascara to upper and lower lashes and comb through with metal
lash comb, lash groomer or deluxe spooly mascara brush. |
|
|
|
|
Close-Set
Eyes |
2. Extend a medium shade on outer half of the eyelid towards hairline
and blend well. 3. Begin lining the eye at the inner corner extending a touch beyond
the outer edge. 4. Dot highlighter in the inner corner of the eye. 5. Apply mascara to upper lashes and lower if desired. If you use
mascara on lower lashes use only on outer few. |
|
|
|
|
Round
Eyes |
2. Use a dark shadow in the crease. 3. Line only outer half of the eye and extend liner out and up at the
ends. 4. Mascara for top lashes only concentrating on outer half. |
|
|
|
|
Bulging
or Puffy Eyes |
2. Use a dark matte shadow in the crease of the eye (wherever it is
bulging or puffy). 3. Extend eyeliner along the lashes going from the inner corner to the
outer corner. If you prefer use a dark eye liner in the inner lid rim.
Never use the liner under lower lashes. It will accentuate the bulging
of the eye. 4. Emphasize upper lashes with mascara especially the outer lashes.
Use very little or no mascara on lower lashes. |
|
|
|
|
Droopy
Eyelids |
2. Use a dark matte shadow where your lid begins to droop extending to
the outer half of lid. 3. Dot highlighter under the inner edge of brows. 4. Line from the inner top edge to pupil of your eye. Be careful that
you do not take eyeliner to the end of the eye, as this will emphasize
the droopiness. 5. Apply mascara to upper lashes. |
|
|
|
|
Turned
Down Eye |
2. Apply medium-toned shadow over the whole lid. 3. Place a contour shade in the crease following your eyeliner as your
guide. Be careful that the contour and liner do not meet at the outer
corner. 4. Apply your highlighter under the brow's arch. 5. Use eyelash curler first then apply mascara to outer upper lashes
only. |
|
|
|
|
Mature
or Crepey Eyes |
2. If you would like to apply a contour colour this is a good time to
use a matte creame-based shadow (mix with your moisturizer) because it
is very difficult to apply a powder coloration on less than supple skin. 3. Apply eyeliner along the lash line with the line growing a bit
thicker toward the outer part of the eye. It is very important with a
mature eye to blend correctly. We recommend a large sponge brush to
blend colourations smoothly, especially if you have difficulty with your
vision. 4. Apply a light coat of mascara on upper lashes if desired. |
|
|
|
|
Vanishing
Lids |
2. Concentrate deep, darker, neutral tones just above the crease. When
applying colour feather lightly towards the brow. 3. When applying eyeliner stay right at the lash line with a light
hand. You do not want a thick line. It should be a very fine line. 4. Add a highlighter on the brow bone. 5. Curl lashes to help open up the eye. Now apply mascara to the top
lashes only. |
|
|
|
|
Almond
Shaped Eyes |
2. Apply a medium contour shade on the lid. 3. Next use a darker shadow on the outer corner of the lid and blend
well. 4. Line the eyes if desired closest to the lash line as possible top
and bottom. 5. Apply mascara top and bottom and comb well. |

We work so hard to keep our skin as clear and radiant as possible. It's amazing that we often overlook the one thing under our noses that could be causing troubled skin . . .our cosmetic brushes! Those beautiful brushes that you use everyday pick up dirt from your face, bathroom counter and make-up bag. These nasties then get transferred to your makeup or your face and can be culprit number one in causing breakouts! The brush must be dried flat for two reasons:
1. If the brush is upright, any excess water will run down into the brush and break down the glue that is holding the bristles in place.

Welcome Page
So, what's a girl to do? Clean those brushes! We recommend that you clean your cosmetic brushes every few days and wash them every few weeks. Remember to cleanse your brushes to ensure clean, clear skin and a beautiful complexion!
Cosmetic brushes can build up oil and bacteria which can contribute to skin irritation and acne. We recommend that you disinfect your brushes every few days with our Natural Brush Cleaner and wash them every few weeks.
Caring for your cosmetic brush investment is much easier than most people realize. I typically wash all my brushes every two weeks. All you need is a good, slightly moisturizing shampoo or liquid soap and a towel.
Start by wetting the brush bristles thoroughly, then apply a small dab of shampoo or liquid soap directly to the bristles. Lather the soap throughout the bristles for a few seconds like you would when shampooing your hair. I like to swish it around with a little water in my palm to work off any stubborn eye shadow or concealer. When shampoo and water are free of debris. rinse the bristles thoroughly under lukewarm running water. Very gentle squeeze the excess water out, reshape the bristles to their normal shape, and lay the brush on the towel in the flat position.
2. The bristles will bend and flop over into a completely different shape, making normal makeup application very difficult.
We recommend you clean your brushes at night so they are completely dry and ready to go in the morning. Be careful not to over wash your brushes, as this can make the bristles brittle and scratchy. If you find you are using multiple colours that require the brush to be clean, either consider purchasing more than one of the brushes you use most often, or purchase out Brush Cleaner for a quick clean…not to be confused with a quick wash!
Tip # 1 – To use as a liquid foundation or concealer, add a pea size amount of your favorite moisturizer cream to a small amount of powder foundation and mix well.
This is an excellent procedure for dark under-eye circles!
Tip # 2 – Pour a small amount of your favorite colour, dip your chap or lip gloss wand
into the powder that you tapped into the lid to use as a Lipstick or Gloss
Tip # 3 – Pour a small amount of your favorite colour onto Tissue or Rice Paper, dip your clear nailpolish
brush into the powder and use as an original nailpolish
Tip # 4 – Use Mineral Veil before and after Foundation application this will help control shiny and/or oily skin.
Tip # 5 - Wash and apply moisturizer creams to your face prior to each makeup application.
It is very important to prep your face before applying any kind of makeup!!!!
Tip # 6 - Mix equal amounts of your favorite colours to create your own new creations!
Tip #7 - For women with blue eyes, eyeliners in brown and rose tones contrast the blue of the eyes, making them appear more vibrant.
Tip #8 - Green eyes, on the other hand, brighten up with violet shades that give a dramatic look for evenings or stage makeup and look great in photographs.
Tip #9 - A mocha shade is a subtle, everyday look for all eye colours but especially brown eyes, which also give a smoldering look when green and gold eyeliners are used.
Tip #10 - Neutral shades in eyeliners are charcoal, black, and chocolate, good for all eye colours, except those with small eyes would do well to avoid these, as they tend to make eyes appear smaller. Thus, it is preferable to restrict dark eyeliner colours to the crease of the eye and highlight the brow bone with a light shade.
Tip #11 - A bit of powder dusted on the eyelid prepares the eyeliner to set well and intensify the eyes.
Do not apply very dark eyebrow powder as it will make over powering eyebrows!
Comb Eyebrows with a spoolie brush or a eyebrow comb
Fill the eyebrow colour in a feather like stroke using a brow powder brush (the bristles are more stiff and can mimic hair easier) with a brow powder slightly darker then your hair colour.
Comb any excess away. The main trick for filling eyebrows is to comb, apply and the comb again. This will provide you with a natural looking brow.
Bronzer Makeup Tip: Powder bronzers are the most fool proof in application when it comes to technique...Creamy/ liquid applications take a little more placement and blending strategy. So if you feel like you have 'two left thumbs' when it comes to makeup application, have no fear with powder bronzer. You can have a believable sun kissed look with a light hand, a powder brush, and a powder bronzer.
After the application of your foundation powder bronzer can be lightly dusted across tops of cheeks nose, forehead, chin (t-zone), décolletage, etc with blush as the final dimension of colour. Make sure to use a clean domed shaped brush. Using a sweeping motion with create a natural effect.
If you want to get more in detailed when it comes to contouring your face you can do the following:
1. Apply bronzer to jaw-line and blend upwards. This will create a very feminine contour to your face.
2. Apply bronzer from your hair line (making sure to blend into your hair) downwards along your cheekbone to create a more defined cheekbone. Then accent with blush.
3. Then apply bronzer to the temples to create depth
4. Apply bronzer to any area that you wish to appear smaller, chin, nose, forehead ect. Make sure to blend well
