Animal Testing
LUVU Beauty does not engage in animal testing of any kind. Our suppliers do not engage in animal testing.
Product Testing
LUVU Beauty tests its products for unspecified lengths of time until satisfactory formulations are achieved. This process is achieved through three testing methods.
The first is via sampling through our regular customer base. We receive feedback from users on the products on a variety of terms, including ease of use, texture, and color, and wearability. The second is via our makeup studio where our team of makeup artists applies new and existing products on our customers to determine whether they meet our standards. We believe that face-to-face testing with hands-on application is essential for monitoring quality. The third is there is always a comparison done of current and past manufactured products. Each batch is labelled with a date label to ensure easy tracking in case of product recall.
Quality Control Measures
We have control batches of our products, and we compare each and every batch of product that is manufactured to our control batches. We monitor powdered products for consistency in texture, color, and saturation. We monitor lipsticks, glosses and liners for application ease, color and texture. Any products not deemed up to our standards are not stocked for sale through our webstore.
Good Manufacturing Practices
LUVU Beauty uses good manufacturing practices in the production of our products. Manufacturing and Packaging areas are clean and well ventilated, and ingredients are stored neatly and hygienically.
